When does my driver meet me? (The 60-Minute Buffer)

For all airport collections, your standard pickup is scheduled normally 60 minutes after your flight actually lands (touchdown). This gives you adequate time to clear passport control, collect luggage, and walk to the designated pickup point without feeling rushed.

Because Jupiter Cars tracks the flight number you supplied with your booking, early arrivals and delays are adjusted automatically. If you clear customs earlier or experience extended immigration delays, message dispatch via WhatsApp.

Heathrow Airport Official Lost Property (Smarte Carte)

Items found across all terminals are catalogued into the centralized Heathrow Lost Property database managed by Smarte Carte. Note: It typically takes 24–48 hours for found items to be logged into the database. Items are securely stored for up to 3 months.

Missing or Delayed Checked Baggage

Crucial Distinction: Lost Property ≠ Missing Checked Baggage

If your suitcase or checked bag did not appear on the luggage carousel, do NOT file a report with Heathrow Lost Property. Airport Lost Property only handles items misplaced in terminal public areas. Checked bags are handled exclusively by your airline and their ground handling agent (e.g. Swissport, Menzies Aviation, Dnata).

What to do before leaving the baggage hall:

  1. Remain in the baggage reclaim hall: Once you pass through the UK Customs exit doors into arrivals, airport security will not permit you to re-enter the carousel area.
  2. Locate your airline's baggage assistance desk: Desks are situated inside each terminal's baggage reclaim hall near the carousels.
  3. File a Property Irregularity Report (PIR): Obtain a physical PIR receipt with your unique file reference number (e.g., LHRBA12345). You will need this to track baggage repatriation or claim airline compensation.
  4. Keep baggage claim tags: Keep the barcode sticker attached to your boarding pass or passport.
